In Austria and especially in Tyrol camping is a year-round experience. Both in summer and winter, the proximity of the mountains and the natural surroundings are special features that not all campsites offer.
The beautiful nature in combination with culinary experiences, a good portion of tradition and the cheerful (admittedly often rustic) people: That is what makes Tyrol what it is!
Camping in the beautiful mountain landscape of Tyrol – that’s not convincing you? If you need even more reasons to spend your camping holiday with us, you might find motivation here:
Diverse
Holidays in the Tyrolean Alps are very varied! In summer the mountains are suitable for hiking, and in winter you can go skiing. But if you believe that this is all that’s needed, you’re mistaken: The possibilities for spending your free time are almost endless.
Especially outdoor friends enjoy camping in Tyrol.
No matter whether you want to hike with your family, visit a farm or are an ambitious athlete looking for new challenges.
There are also offers and routes for amateur athletes. You are sure to find something interesting if you want to try something new. How about cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, for example? In summer you can take a ride on the Alpine Coaster in Imst. Numerous lakes invite you to swim.
Because everything takes its time, in Tyrol you will find opportunities to be active and the peace you need to relax.
Sporty & active
Nevertheless, Tyrol is above all one thing: sporty! The locals themselves can normally be found in a wide variety of sports activities. For example, on the climbing route, on a hike with the whole family or when skiing.
In winter, ski tours (but not without a guide) or a toboggan trip are particularly recommended. Would you like to get on the cross-country trail right in front of your front door? No problem when staying at the Campsite in Sölden. This is certainly the perfect place to get the most out of your sport.
In summer, in addition to hiking, we especially focus on cycling. Therefore there are numerous events around this area: the Bike Opening in Sölden, Bikerepublic or the Ötztaler Radmarathon. Try one of our famous mountain trails and improve your skills.
If you prefer swimming, you are in good hands in Tyrol. Worth seeing is above all the Piburger See – especially if you spend your camping holiday in the Ötztal.
For extreme athletes there is also a lot to do: rafting, canyoning or paragliding, just to name a few.
Relaxing & luxurious
Camping is no longer comparable to the way it used to be. Many of the campsites have adapted to the wishes of the guests and now offer special rooms for drying skis and ski accessories. However, some operators want to offer their customers even more: How about glamping?
What does that mean? Camping at the heartbeat of nature, but not without a certain amount of luxury and extras.
Many campsites in Tyrol offer a wellness and spa area. Here you can relax and pamper yourself after a strenuous skiing day.
So that you can enjoy the peace and quiet during your stay at Camping Sölden, our pitches are arranged in terraces. Book your stay with us now(maybe you are interested in one of our packages)!
Exciting
It doesn’t get boring here in Tyrol so fast! In addition to relaxation and tranquility, you will also find some exciting events. Since the tourism regions have constantly been reinventing and developing themselves for years, a fresh breeze is blowing here today.
Besides traditional events such as a cattle drive, “Herz-Jesu” mountain fire, various hiking marches, in winter runs of crampus or “Christkindlmarkt” there are also all kinds of sporting highlights!
The capital Innsbruck is the perfect place for shopping, but there are also some bargains in various (mostly sporty) shops.
Rustic & unique
There are many festivities in Tyrol and almost always a reason to celebrate. Regardless of whether the cows’ return home after summer or the “Schuhplattler” dance at the weekly Tyrolean evening. A good schnitzel and a beer always goes well with it.
Just as people in Tyrol often seem rough until you have worked your way up to a deeper level, so are certain places. You have to take a closer look to see what is special about it.
But you definitively shouldn’t miss these places!
